Padel & Pines began as a family's tennis court in the woods above Kilternan, a quiet corner of Ballybetagh Wood we've always thought was one of the most beautiful places to spend an afternoon. We've simply given it a net, a little more shelter, and reason to stay longer.

The Court

Glass walls. Forest light. A court that quietly disappears into the trees.

The Experience

More than a game

Three ways to spend an afternoon: on the court, in the warmth, or simply sitting still among the pines.

The Court

A single glass-walled court, set beneath the pines with natural acoustics and woodland air. Padel as it was always meant to feel.

Sauna & Warmth Coming Soon

A wood-fired sauna is on its way, built for warming up before you play or winding down long after.

Stillness & Privacy

Tucked away in private woodland, with deer for neighbours. A setting built for privacy, not passing traffic.

Origin

Built on a family's tennis court.

Long before it was a padel club, this ground was a tennis court in Ballybetagh Wood. Matches ran on long after they should have finished, the light fading through the pines. It was never a grand facility. It was simply ours, and it was beautiful, and we knew it.

When the time came to imagine what this ground could become next, padel felt like the natural chapter: sociable, unhurried, and better played outdoors. So we kept the trees, kept the quiet, and built a single glass-walled court where the old one stood.

Most padel clubs are built for volume: rows of courts, a car park, a clubhouse shared with hundreds of members. Padel & Pines is the opposite. One court, one private wood, and the same quiet that made this a family's tennis court in the first place.

Ballybetagh Wood

The deer were here long before we were. They still visit most evenings.

A private court. Surrounded by nature. Built for good times.

The Club

Everything that happens around the game

One court. A sauna. A few quiet corners to gather in. Padel & Pines was designed to be lingered in, not just booked.

Sauna & Gathering

Somewhere to linger.

Tree-stump seating around a fire pit and a cedar clubhouse already make this a place to stay long after the last point. A wood-fired sauna is coming soon, the finishing touch for slowing all the way down.

On-Site Facilities

Changing rooms, toilets, and refreshments: everything you need, nothing you don't.

Free Parking

Parking available on site. Arrive, unwind, and let the wood do the rest.

Private Woodland

Set back from the road, inside Ballybetagh Wood. Quiet, private, and entirely its own.
